Switch your salary payments
It's easy to switch your banking to ME Bank.
Once you've opened your transaction account with ME Bank, it's easy to switch your regular payments and direct debits. Here are 4 simple steps.
Step 1
Switch your salary payments
Contact your employer to change where your salary is deposited. You will need to provide them with your BSB and Account Number. Click here to print out your salary payment letter.
Step 2
Identify your regular payments
Your previous financial institution must give you a list of all your direct debit, credit and periodical payments for the past 13 months for all your accounts. This is called a 13 month list. Banks are obliged to provide this to you.
This list includes all the payments and credits sent to or taken from your account on an automatic and regular basis; or you can check your previous bank statements and transaction history to identify regular payments.
Step 3
Switch your direct debits
Contact the companies you have regular payments with. Places like your gym, insurance companies, utility companies, memberships, subscriptions and more. You can simply set up direct debits using your BSB and Account number.

Step 4
Close your old accounts
Once you've switched your payments and direct debits, remember to close your old accounts to avoid any unnecessary fees.
